The Board of Directors of the Edges Coaching Community have announced the closing of Edges as a formal organization, effective December 31, 2007.
Members of Edges will receive an email announcement about this change, and possible next steps for those interested in continuing to collaborate and learn in a less formal setting.
The seeds of Edges were planted at a gathering in December of 1999 of the Coaches Study Group. In 2000, this fledgling initiative became the Edges Learning Community. Edges grew into its current form as the Edges Coaching Community in 2004. To say that this has been a labor of love for the original founders and staff is an understatement. Through Edges, many coaches have had the opportunity to come together in community to learn and grow, both personally and professionally. Edges has helped to form caring, life-long bonds, and contributed to the coaching community in ways that are impossible to measure.
The Board speaks for the entire community in saying that we owe a huge debt of gratitude to Dan Petersen and to the earliest founders of Edges, who made consistent and selfless contributions of thought, effort, time, and money. The caliber of this organization and its members is a direct reflection of their visionary and dignified leadership.
