Membership Benefits

Edges provides an array of connection and practice opportunities to coaches worldwide:

Edges offers seven membership levels. Each level receives the benefits listed below, plus other additions. Click here for membership levels.

The Next Level:
Edges is the next level of personal and professional development for coaches. Connecting coaches with coaches, Edges offers a deep level of dialogue and action seldom found in professional organizations.

There is no reason to feel isolated as a coach.

Active Network:
The Edges Coaching Community is an “active network” of coaches. Once you are a member, Edges staff will actively seek to connect you to others with the same interests, training and experience. When a new member joins who we think would interest you, we initiate the connection between you. As well, your expertise and experience are invaluable to others. You will be asked to contribute in ways that make sense and promote your identity in the field.

Gatherings:
Edges sponsors community gatherings, as well as clinics and small workshops, throughout the year. These gatherings serve as times of intense connection, learning and forwarding action. A full community gathering is held every other year, with smaller regional and local gatherings held more frequently. As a member, Edges can help you sponsor a gathering on a topic of interest and will work to coordinate logistics and promotion.

Edges will also help you to attend other gatherings as a small group from Edges and continue the learning through follow-up study groups and calls.

Edges Coaching Community members receive a discount for Edges Gatherings.

Clinics & Workshops:
Edge members have the opportunity of create clinics and workshops in their areas of expertise. Edges staff will work with you to coordinate these offerings for the benefit of the community at large. These small clinics and workshops are a great way to practice your skills, meet other coaches and build your identity within the coaching profession.

Practice Coaching:
Edges holds the conviction that we develop and become stronger by practicing together. Practice coaching groups are small, intimate and rigorous. Their design is based on the needs of participants and range from practice sessions with feedback, to conversations about difficult client situations, to advice and coaching from master level coaches and teachers.

Study & Book Groups:
Edges connects coaches with similar interests and passions. Connect with a small group of coaches and dig deeply into topics that energize you and build your potential.

Committed Learning Communities:
As you develop deeper levels of relationship with learning groups and teachers, Edges will help you establish committed learning communities of coaches willing and eager to go to deeper levels of commitment, responsibility and interaction around a particular discourse.

Bridgeline Calls:
Edges hosts Open Space based and facilitated guest bridgeline calls on a monthly basis. These calls serve to energize and build momentum, introduce new topics, allow the interests and energy of the membership to come to the fore and connect coaches in ways that work for you.

Edges will arrange and publicize calls as requested by the membership to connect interests with expertise and energy.

Review Library:
An online resource of reviews and commentary on coaching related books, periodicals, websites and gatherings. Find information and make a contribution to the knowledge base.

Webspace & Discussion Boards:
Edges has a dedicated web site and discussion area for members. This is a place to build connections and seek resources and assistance. Put out a question and see what is generated!

Newsletters:
Newsletters provide a venue for Edges coaches to publish their work to a community of coaches. Each quarterly issue focuses on a theme with articles, poems and reviews submitted by the membership.

Promotional & Marketing Assistance:
Edges staff and members have a wealth of experience writing, designing and marketing for coaching related offerings. As an Edges member you have access to a team of coaches who will review and help you refine your written, online and verbal marketing and promotion.

Affiliations with Coaching Organizations & Schools:
Edges is working to secure affiliation with other coaching organizations and schools. In the future these connections will broaden the community, provide discounts, create opportunities and build the presence of coaches and coaching as a profession.
